Overglaze printing
This is a transfer technique in which a sticker with a design printed on special transfer paper is pasted onto the fabric after the main firing and then fired again (main firing for overglaze) to fuse the design to the fabric.
Transfer paper is printed with the same overglaze pigments as those used for hand-painting with a brush and applied by hand, then fired at approximately 800°C to complete the beautifully patterned porcelain. Since Koransha is able to produce transfer paper in-house, it is possible to create a wide variety of expressions as desired by the designer.
上絵転写
特殊転写紙で印刷された絵柄の入ったシールを、本焼成を終えた生地に貼り付け、再度焼成（上絵焼成）を行い、絵柄を生地に融着させる転写技法です。
筆で描く手描きと同じ上絵具を印刷でシール状にした転写紙を手作業で貼付け、約800℃で焼成し美しい絵柄の磁器が完成します。香蘭社では自社内で転写紙を制作できるためデザイナーの思い通りの多彩な表現を可能にしています。
