Glazing
Glazes containing glassy components are applied to the surface of unglazed fabrics and fired to add color and durability to the vessels. There are countless glaze patterns that combine visual and tactile elements, and glazes are developed to meet various needs through a number of tests.
施釉
器に色を付けたり、耐久性を上げるためにガラス質の成分を含んだ釉薬（ゆうやく）を素焼き生地の表面に施し焼成します。釉薬は視覚的・触感的要素の組み合わせで無数のパターンがあり、いくつもの試験を経て様々なニーズに沿った釉薬の開発が行われています。
